Beginning next week, Wednesday, April 1st, the office will send two ‘group’ announcements per week and no other single emails (other then Our Temple family) for congregational events or activities taking place at or through the Temple. Auxiliaries and RS may still send announcements specific to their groups. The deadline for submitting announcements is 10am Wednesday and 10am Friday. The announcements will also include the weekly question on Wednesday, and the Rabbi’s weekly email on Friday. Announcements will still appear on the website.
Our monthly Bulletin is now available online. We will continue to send the paper Bulletin every month, but for those who wish to see more details about items below, or who find online access more convenient, just click!

Friday, Shabbat eve service, 7:30pm. No Torah study and Shabbat morning service on Saturday.
NO RELIGIOUS SCHOOL ON SUNDAY.
Talmud study at noon in the small social hall every Tuesday. Rabbi Paskoff leads a minyan at 7:45am every Wednesday.
March 30th brings our own Alan Levine to the Adult Jewish Growth Scholar & Artist Series with ‘A Guide to Jewish Genealogy.“ Alan is also a professor at F&M College and music director of the famous and beloved annual Purimshpiel. 7:30pm at the Temple.
April 3rd celebrates Jewish education with a special service, preceded by dinner for teaching staff and families. Please join us at 7:30 for Shabbat evening service and show your appreciation for all of our wonderful, dedicated, teachers, aides, and administration.
Passover is coming up in TWELVE DAYS! Please get your baked goods order in to Stacey Freedman as soon as possible - March 30th is the deadline. If you would like to share 1st night seder, Wednesday, April 8th, with others, as a host or guest, please return the form in your mid-month flier on April Bulletin to Temple office by March 31st. Get your reservation in for the 2nd seder at the Temple on Thursday, April 9th, in soon; that is filing up fast as usual. Deadline is April 1st. DON’T WAIT UNTIL THE LAST MINUTE TO SIGN UP!!
Sisterhood will have a variety of kosher for Passover wine available again this year. Bottles can be purchased during school hours. Details on kinds and prices are posted in the office lobby.
The Annual Millersville University Holocaust Conference will begin on Wednesday, April 1st. For information on individual speakers and events, click here. The film, ‘As Seen Through These Eyes,‘ on Thursday, April 2nd, from 4-6:15pm at McComsey Hall in the Meyers Auditorium is being presented by a friend of one of our congregants.
TOPS every Wednesday, 6:15pm in the small social. Take Off Pounds Sensibly is a national support organization. Local groups help individuals deal with food issues and how they may impact our daily lives. At a membership of about 15, our Shaarai Shomayim group swaps recipes and websites, shares success stories, and generally supports each member’s attempts at finding his or her most livable lifestyle. New members welcome. Watch for details on a special dinner and movie session in May. Everyone is invited!
Don’t forget our other weekly/monthly meetings for study and support: addiction support at the JCC on the fourth Tuesday, 7pm; Women’s Torah Study, first and third Thursday of the month, 7pm. The cancer support group meets the third Thursday of the month at the Temple, beginning at 7pm.
The Jewish Genealogy Center is open! The Center will be open by appointment by contacting , or by phone at 392-3509. All research will be done and materials will remain in the library. Regular hours may be established in the future.
Contributing to our Mitzvah closet/crib and filling your family Tzedakah can are two ways of fulfilling the commandment to perform Mitzvot. Our crib collects new or gently used infant and toddler toys, clothes, furniture, and baby toiletries for Milagro House. PLEASE DO NOT BRING LARGE ITEMS SUCH AS FURNITURE TO THE TEMPLE; CONTACT MILAGRO HOUSE DIRECTLY TO ARRANGE FOR DELIVERY TO THEM. The closet collects items for Ross Elementary School uniforms, and school items, grown-up toiletries, and non-perishable food for the county food bank.
Don’t forget our collections of food labels from Campbells, Swanson, Pepperidge Farm, and other General Foods items and Box Tops for Education; and aluminum pop-top rings for Ronald McDonald House in Hershey. We are also collection lids from all Turkey Hill mild products.
