Meet Cantorial Soloist Sara Eiser

Sara Eiser grew up in Cincinnati, Ohio, and moved to Lancaster after receiving her Bachelor of Arts in Music from Elizabethtown College.  While at Elizabethtown, she founded and directed an a capella group and was the student director of the Elizabethtown Orchestra and Elizabethtown College Concert Band. She pursued her studies for conversion to Judaism with Rabbi Paskoff at Shaarai in 2006, and was hired as Cantorial Soloist in July of that year.

As Cantorial Soloist, she directs Chavrai Zamir and Chavrai Hashir, teaches Early Childhood through High School music in the religious school, tutors teens for their B’nai Mitzvah, and assists the rabbi in leading services.

In addition to her formal training in voice and conducting, Sara brings with her a passion for world music and the independent music scene, as well as utilizing the best of modern technology in programming. Sara is proud to share her life with her husband, Keith, her son, Tobias, and her menagerie of animals.
